At Brightview, depending on your location and preferred session times, we can commence ABA sessions in as little as two weeks. Following the completion of the Initial Assessment and Treatment Plan, your Client Service Manager will liaise with your Health Insurance provider to secure ABA coverage. We'll then match you with a Behavior Technician suited to your child's needs, while your Supervising Clinician oversees the treatment plan. Once all staff is onboard and insurance coverage is authorized, we're prepared to begin!
At Brightview, therapy sessions are determined by the recommendation of your Board Certified Behavior Analyst as outlined in the treatment plan. These sessions typically vary from 2 to 5 hours, tailored to the specific needs of your child and the treatment goals established collaboratively by you and your BCBA.
Brightview typically prescribes ABA therapy in terms of weekly hours, known as the "treatment dosage". ABA therapy is considered dose-dependent, meaning that the effectiveness increases with higher dosage. To determine the suitable therapy hours, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) from Brightview conducts a behavior assessment before therapy begins. Based on your child's requirements and your family's treatment goals, the BCBA will recommend the appropriate number of therapy hours.
Absolutely! At Brightview, we highly value parent and family involvement in designing treatment plans for children with autism. Your insights into your child's needs and your family's goals are essential for tailoring our therapy approach. Moreover, active participation in ABA training sessions empowers families to extend therapeutic techniques beyond scheduled sessions, ensuring continuous support for your child's development.
Brightview offers ABA Therapy services in both home-based and professionally managed center settings, both of which are effective environments for implementing ABA techniques. When deciding between the two, families typically consider their child's needs and their lifestyle demands, ultimately basing their choice on personal preference and the specific symptoms of their child's autism.
